About me

Like all of us on life’s journey, my own has been filled with all the highs, lows and loss that mark the human condition. Long drawn to conversations and understanding of the human psyche I took this further with a degree in psychology. Then having found my own therapy transformative, I wanted to provide this to others.

I am an Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapeutic counsellor accredited with UK Counsel for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and registered with British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Alongside my private practice work for a low-cost service providing short-term counselling for a variety clients with a wide range of issues and needs. I have enjoyed and often worked with clients who have had no previous experience of counselling and those that have returned to it having seen the benefit before.

Having had a profound experience of death and bereavement, I was also prompted to train as an End of Life Doula. Doulas walk alongside those towards the end of life and are also trained to support everyone on the topic of death and dying. Having conversations about this aspect of our lives can help reduce anxiety. I have regularly co-hosted Death Cafés where I facilitate such conversations. This training and work has supported my practice as a counsellor. The rest of my working life has involved working with managers, boards, staff and customers of not for profit organisations to deliver projects or improve services.

I am a lover of the outdoors, our natural world and am fascinated with our relationship with it. My experience of adventure and travel, including voluntarily working with the Penan tribe in Borneo, has brought me in touch with cultures and ways of living that have taught me so much about our relationship with ourselves and our planet.

I live in St Leonards-on-Sea but have been London-based for most of my life, working with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds, welcoming our diverse experiences and journeys.
